This is an amazing story. Thank you for sharing! I shared it on my Facebook, with all of my friends. Stories like this, is why I am currently raising money for lung cancer. When you said, "while I never wish anyone to get breast cancer or any kind of cancer for that matter, I am, I guess hurt that even though there is a month that is for lung cancer (November), I'm not sure many realize that or that if there is even a color." I relate to that SO much. My dad recently passed of esophageal cancer. It also has many stigma's associated...all of which my dad never partook in (drinking, smoking, being overweight...he didn't drink, didn't smoke, and was 6'1, 180 pounds...yea not overweight!!). I wear a lot of periwinkle for esophageal cancer, and its amazing to me that people don't get that EVERY cancer has a color. I have had more people ask me why I paint my nails periwinkle, or wear that color. It saddens me that there isn't support for all cancers. Again, thank you for sharing your story and I am praying for you, during your journey. I have seen cancer first hand, and I know how hard the battle is.

Thanks for telling your story. Life itself is tough without cancer. You are a brave woman. and your daughter is a brave daughter. My son has advanced lung cancer . . but we are not giving up. However, I'm not so brave. I have faith, but many times that faith is replaced by fear. But I do know that there are miracles happening everyday. Why not for you and my son? I am praying for you!

Wow. I am just awestruck by both the pain and agony you have been through and on the flip side, the strength you clearly embody which allows you to plow through all the negatives that have been sent your way. I am delighted to hear that your battle has had some bright spots and absolutely agree that a spotlight must be shone on the lack of funding for lung cancer. Earlier this year, a member of my family was both diagnosed and died (within a span of 6 months) from lung cancer. He was a smoker but it's a shame that that would even matter. No one "deserves" cancer. I'm grateful to have found your story today through your daughter's tweets. Thank you for sharing it.
