Hey “WTF-ers.” Have an idea for us to make some noise. Here it goes!
On Monday, the last day of Lung Cancer Awareness Month, let’s all post the same message as our status update on our Facebook pages for the entire day (if possible) to send a united message to the White House–asking where the funding for lung cancer is. I will do a bunch of PR around it!
Post this as your status:
“Hey President Obama! “WTF (Where’s the Funding) for Lung Cancer? You know the stats. No more excuses. No more stigma. We’re waiting for change:
After you have posted the message on your FB page, come to the NEW “WTF” FB page (which is the link in the message above) and write the following:
“Along with many other lung cancer victims, I just posted this message: “Hey President Obama! “WTF (Where’s the Funding) for Lung Cancer? You know the stats. No more excuses. No more stigma. We’re waiting for change!

If you’re on Twitter, do the same and retweet. I will be doing that as well.
As far as I’m concerned, November isn’t Lung Cancer Awareness Month –the entire year is. But, let’s make this month go out with a bang no one has heard from lung cancer victims before. Spread the “WTF” word. Get your friends and family to do the same. This will show the solidarity of our LC community and drive home the fact that we are no longer going to be overlooked.
If you aren’t on our NEW Facebook page yet, be sure to do so. We have more than 1,500 members on the “old” page...have hundreds to move to our new home. STRENGTH in numbers and stubborness from one feisty gal will keep this message going.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. We are going to ROCK IT ON MONDAY!
Your “WTF Chick,”
Jen
